This meal is so easy to make; it’s a dump & go recipe. Perfect for busy days!
A great time to serve this meal is when one of your children had dental or orthodontic work done. They may be hungry but unable chew very well. This meal is filling & easy to eat with minimal chewing. When I had my wisdom teeth out I would’ve appreciated a meal like this!
Crock Pot Chicken Rice Tomato Meal
Ingredients
- 1 package ground chicken
- 1 bag Knorr’s Rice sides chicken flavor rice & pasta blend in savory chicken sauce
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz size)
- Water
- 1 slow cooker liner (optimal)
Instructions
- If you want to make clean up quick & simple, line your slow cooker with 1 liner before adding any ingredients.
- Pour canned tomatoes into the slow cooker.
- Open the bag of rice & pour it into the slow cooker with the tomatoes.
- Fill the tomato can with water, once full & pour in, then half & pour in. The rice needs the water to cook.
- Drop in the ground chicken by spoon full, or put the whole block of ground chicken into the slow cooker & break apart into spoon full sized pieces.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Cook on high 4 hours, stirring half way through.
- Be sure to check that the chicken is cooked thoroughly. If it is at the end of the 4 hours, serve.
